The nine agents
Nine agents read the outside world on Sodexo's behalf so no colleague has to hunt for a trigger. They draft. Named colleagues decide.
The outside-in layer. Each agent owns a role, a set of sources and a refresh cadence. Cartograph, Ledger, Compass, Roster, Beacon, Rival, Envoy, Steward and Herald.
Cartograph
The trust-group cartographer.
Cartograph reads which NHS trusts sit inside which groups, collaboratives and chair peer sets. It keeps the map of how the 40 trusts relate to each other.
Ledger
The trust-financials analyst.
Ledger reads audited accounts, CIP targets, deficit position and capital programme lines that make soft-FM outsourcing a live question.
Compass
The soft-FM state and incumbent watcher.
Compass reads Contracts Finder notices, tender windows and FOI responses to keep a live picture of who holds what across the 40.
Roster
The PLACE, workforce and estate reader.
Roster reads PLACE scores, workforce indicators, estate age and staff-survey signals that map to soft-FM outcomes.
Beacon
The board and committee agenda scanner.
Beacon reads published agendas, minutes and papers to catch the moment a trust puts soft-FM outsourcing on a live agenda.
Rival
The competitor register keeper.
Rival tracks Serco, ISS, Mitie and Compass Group activity at the 40 trusts and at nearby trusts inside the same collaborative or region.
Envoy
The named-individuals relationship reader.
Envoy reads Companies House, LinkedIn, board biographies and trust websites to keep a clean map of who to know at each trust.
Steward
The governance auditor.
Steward runs the ethics rules against every action in the system every day. It is what makes Human in control. Always. a claim colleagues can trust.
Herald
The colleague-facing weekly comms writer.
Herald picks up authenticated campaigns and spotlights and writes them up in Sodexo's own voice. Marketing reviews. Colleagues see the wins.
